Women's Issues
The challenges of being a woman in our world today can be overwhelming to say the least. Is my body good enough? Did I say something to offend them? Should I get married? Should I get divorced? Should I have children? How do you I feel about my sexuality? What are my needs? How do I do it all and stay sane? And these are just a few of the questions asked by women in counseling. The pressure to meet expectations imposed by both yourself and others has the ability to prevent you from fully living your life. Relationships, life changes, and past events can oftentimes be a catalyst for these experiences. This does not have to control you forever.
The work I do with women in counseling combines validation of their experiences with the opportunity to reframe and let go of what is truly holding them back. Through this counseling process, the women I work with are finally able to breath and learn about themselves and their world with a healthy perspective. Not only will you be better able to manage and engage in friendships, work relationships, and romantic relationships, but you will also discover so many strengths you may have never known were there.
